THE STORY
About the show
It’s opening night at a community theatre, and behind the curtain, everything is coming apart. Missed cues, disappearing props, costume catastrophes, and clashing personalities turn one performance into an increasingly desperate exercise in keeping the show alive.
Unfolding in a continuous 90-minute backstage farce, Good Show, Everybody follows the actors, stage managers, and crew whose frantic fixes keep creating new disasters. Funny, chaotic, and full of heart, it’s a love letter to the unseen people who make live theatre possible.

- BECKY — 30s–60s, female. The relentlessly optimistic director who believes every disaster can become an artistic choice.
- TINA — 50s–70s, female. The quick-witted costume designer and backstage problem-solver. Tough, hilarious, and secretly nurturing.
- MARCUS — 18–30, male. An enthusiastic young actor experiencing his first major production. Nervous, sincere, and increasingly confident.
- HAROLD — 50s–70s, male. A veteran character actor playing an elderly Victorian woman. Fearless, flamboyant, quick-witted, and completely committed to the bit.
- CHARLES — 30s–60s, male. A well-meaning veteran actor who seems to be involved in every backstage mishap.
- RITA — 50s–70s, female. The front-of-house manager who keeps getting pulled into backstage chaos despite knowing very little about theatre.

- DANNY / THE CORPSE — 20s–50s, any gender. An extremely laid-back ensemble actor playing the murder victim. Spends much of the evening dead, waiting to die, or commenting dryly on everyone else's problems.
